Very thoughtful and so true, thank you for such a wonderful article.
Our children are so out of touch with our food and the land.
I was at the store picking up some bulk powdered milk last week, and I had to stop and chuckle as a young mom was dragging her young son through the produce section, (it was an organic store that has only seasonal food available) and her son was very distressed at no watermelons or cantaloupes and the mom was trying to explain to him about organic and the season's etc and that the whole family had switched to organic because it was better for them and it would just take time for the son to get used to it… The son loudly proclaimed that the store sucked and could they please just go to McDonalds where they had "real" food.

 yeah….. wow
