good lookin hogs. excellent shape and form. never heard of the red wattle breed before. sounds interesting.

It is so nice to see animals bush and happy in the woods, and not in a sterile building in wee pens wading in their own excrement. I never imagined I would slaughter any animla, but I can and do now. Even, as Paul Winchester says in his lovely book A Very Small Farm, ” It’s sad to see the life go out of the 12 roosters I kill each year fro my freezer. But instead of the factory farm, at least they enjoy the glory of one perfect summer. I am paraphrasing — get the book. It is so nourishing to the soul.
